Boer and Boer-mix goats
Traditionals, colored, dapples, and percentage goats
As you can see, I have a collection of Boer goats, traditionals, colored, roans and dapples. My top Boer billy, Bogart, was nine years old when I sold him. Lots of people have never seen a 9-yr old billy. He was the son of Easy Money and 99.9% pure. Some of these pictured are his offsprings. Bo Diddly, the red dapple billy in the picture above, is the son of Bogart and at two and a half years old, he has produced numerous offsprings. He is now lots bigger than when this picture was taken six months ago. In December 2011, the nine nannies he has impregnated should begin kidding. Six of them are first time mothers; the other three are old pros at parenting.
In September 2011, I had to evacuate the goats as the problem with wildfires in east Texas was taking a toll on the community and surrounding areas. Fortunately for me, I had lots of friends to help round them up and take them to a safe area. The wildfires came within two miles of my house but the wonderful firefighters and support were able to contain it and keep it from spreading and destroying further. GREAT NEWS! The first of the December kids has arrived. Two little chocolate boers, a paint boy and a girl were born on Dec. 3. On Dec 4, another set of kids were born, a black dapple girl and her brother, a caped black dappled boy. They are so cute!!! Four days later, another set of kids were born. Their colors replicate the kids born on Dec. 4.
NEWS FLASH!! From Dec. 3 to Dec. 21, 2011, I have had 14 kids born, 6 females and 8 males. Below are pics of some of them. One of the females is a chocolate paint, one is a chocolate red and the other four are dapples. The males are 3 dapples, one chocolate red and four dapple-heads.
